HOW TO USE HOOPLA

All Bucks County residents with a valid library card and PIN can use Hoopla to download and stream free videos, music, and audiobooks to a mobile device or computer. This service is not available for Bucks County card holders residing outside of Bucks County

 

  • Everything is returned automatically

  • No holds needed - all content is always available when you want it!

  • Borrowing Limits: 10 items per user per month

  • Where: App available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

  • Kindle Fire HDX instructions available at www.hoopladigital.com

  • PC and Mac (a free Widevine plugin is required for video)

 

Checkout periods

 

Movies and TV shows - 2-3 days

Music - 7 days

Audiobooks - 21 days

 

  1. Register for an account by visiting www.hoopladigital.com, or use the Hoopla app on your iOS or Android mobile device, and click on Sign Up. You will need to provide an email address, create a password, and have your library card information. Hoopla's free mobile app can be found in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

  2. Easily browse titles on your computer or mobile device by clicking Browse and choosing the Music, Movies, Audiobooks, or Television tab. You can also search for a specific title by clicking on the Search box and typing in your title/keyword.

  3. To borrow a title, click on the Titles icon, and then click the Borrow button. The borrowed titles can be found inder the My Titles tab for viewing/listening. Enjoy your selected titles.

  4. Borrowed titles will be automatically returned when your lending period is over.
