A look inside
Riegelsville Public Library
Riegelsville Public Library occupies the second floor of the Riegelsville Borough Hall.  The building was originally constructed in 1886 by John Leidy Riegel as a private college-prep school; today, support from the Bucks County Free Library enables us to offer all of the services of a larger library consortium. Take a look inside our beautiful facility!
As you can see, we pack a lot into a small space! The main reading room contains the adult fiction, non-fiction, young adult, large print and biography sections.  Help yourself to a seat at one of our oak tables or browse among the original bookcases for your reading material.  Our staff of three -- a Pennsylvania Certified Librarian, Technical Assistant and Children's Services Supervisor --  are all waiting to help you.
Come right in! We are located on the second floor.  If you want help negotiating the 26 steps to the top of the stairs, we have a wheelchair ramp at the rear of the building and a chair lift.  Just ring the buzzer at the base of the stairs for assistance!
An original  Mercer tile fireplace, installed in 1925, features a "Four Seasons" motif created by Henry Chapman Mercer's  Moravian Tile Works in Doylestown, PA.  Not only is it a wonderful period decorative element, children and adults enjoy congregating in the area near the fireplace to chat, read and play.
We have a Windows PC for public use.  Our computer is ADA-compatible with assistive software and adaptive hardware technologies.  We offer Internet access and Microsoft Office on our public computer. Free WiFi is also available, so bring your laptop!
In addition to print materials, we have audiobooks on CDs and cassettes,  plus popular movies and educational programs on DVDs and VHS videotapes.  All are free for checkout with your Bucks County library card!
We offer an wide variety of popular magazines for children, teens and adults for entertaining and informative reading.  They are conveniently located adjacent to the fireside reading lounge. Current issues are for in-library use only; older issues can be checked out.
Welcome to the Banko Children's Room,  which contains our juvenile fiction and easy picturebook collections. Colorful hand-painted wall murals decorate this cheerful space.  We also conduct children's programs for small groups here, such as our book discussions and story times!
This hallway leads to the Banko Children's Room, dedicated in 2006.
